Flower-shape Wonton Basket Inspired by Thai Snack "Kratong Thong"

Hej! Today I'm gonna show you the recipe that I really like to have as a snack right now. It's inspired by the Thai snack which is named "Kratong Thong" or golden basket in English.

For cooking Kratong thong, we should have a special mold for making the pastry baskets. Actually it costs around 3 USD in Thailand. But when I tried to search for a price on the internet. Wow! It costs more than 33 USD!!! So I need to find the thing that can replace the pastry basket which is .... Taada!! Wonton pastry! And I use a flower-shape cookie cutter to make it looks more resemble to the original recipe. But for a filling , it is still the same recipe as the original Kratong thong. So let's see how to cook this one.

Ingredients : for 12 baskets
1. 12 sheets wanton wrapper.
2. 100 g minced pork or chicken
3. 30 g carrot , diced and boiled
4. 30 g peas, boiled
5. 20 g onion, finely chopped
6. 2 tablespoons seasoning soy sauce ( it's ok to use light soy sauce instead)
7. 2 teaspoon black pepper
8. chilli and parsley , for garnish
9. Oil or cooking spray for greasing muffin tin

Special tools
1. Muffin tin ( diameter around 6 cm)
2. Flower-shap cookie cutter ( diamer around 8 cm)


Instructions 
1. Preheat the oven at 175 degree celcius and grease a muffin tin.

2. Cut wontons by cookie cutter and place them into the muffin tin. Then bake it for 5 minutes.

3. For making filling, brown the minced pork in a fry pan or a wok. When it's cooked, add onion. Stir fry until the onion is soft.

4. Add carrots and peas, then seasoning with soy sauce and peppers.

5. Add the filling into the wonton baskets. Then garnish with chilli and parsley. And yes! Now they are ready to serve!

ps. actually you can make any filling you want. But you should keep in mind that 

- the filling recipe should be dried

- this recipe should be served immediately after filling. Or else, they can be soft.
