Have you ever tried Chinese sausage ? For me, I have tried this many times since I was a kid. it was very simple to eat. We just fried this and eat with rice or rice porridge. However, it tastes quite sweet, that's why some people don't like it. Some people said the sausage should never taste sweet lol.
I got the Chinese sausage when I was in Thailand many months ago. My mum worried that I couldn't bear with the western foods when I live in Sweden so she bought "12" bottles of roasted chilli paste, 1 very big pack of dried shredded pork, and 2 kg of Chinese sausage for me. You can see how sweet she is.
The recipe that I'm gonna show you today is a spicy Chinese sausage salad. I love to cook it as my lunch because it takes 10-15 minutes to cook it. It's very easy to cook, yummy, spicy with a little touch of sweetness from Chinese sausage. So if you have this at home, don't hesitate to cook follow this recipe. Nu kör vi!!!! ( let's get started in Swedish)
Ingredients : for 2 persons
1. 150 g Chinese sausage, sliced with 0.5 cm (1/4 inch) thickness
2. 20 g red onion, finely chopped
3. 20 g onion, finely chopped
4. 20 g carrot, cut into long pieces and boiled
5. 30 g cucumber, half and finely chopped
6. 1 tablespoon fish sauce
7. 1 tablespoon lime juice
8. 1/4 tablespoon sugar
9. 10 g chilli, sliced
10. 10 g celery leaves, chopped
Instructions
1. Fry Chinese sausage on a frying pan without oil in a low heat, then take it up from the pan.
2. Make a salad dressing by mixing fish sauce, lime juice sugar and chilli together. Mix until sugar is dissolved.
3. Toss Chinese sausage, all vegetables and salad dressing together in a large bowl. Then transfer to the plate for serving.
If you read my blog before, you can see that the instructions is almost exactly the same as canned mackerel spicy salad. And if you think it looks too spicy for you, it's ok to reduce the chilli from the recipe.
So I hope that you enjoy reading this and I hope you have a nice day ^_^
